Full of yummy treats and love just for you, these plushie bears offer endless amounts of play! With snacks unique to each critter, removable parts, and special gifts, Little Leftovers are the perfect gift for kids, collectors, and anyone looking to adopt a spooky little friend.

Branding

The name Little Leftovers offers up an immediate narrative for this plushie collection. Cute and simple, Little Leftovers hints at the fact that the bears are based around yummy snacks as well as the physical size of the plushies.

Wanting to develop an iconic and easy to recognize silhouette, I decided to use the head of the plushies for the logo. The plushies have a similar body shape; therefore, the logo can easily be recolored to match the color palette of each bear.

Meet the Bears

Little Leftovers currently consists of three bear-like creatures - Tootsie, Brunch, and Tangie - and each character is based off of different yummy snacks. Tootsie’s theme is candy, Brunchie’s motif is breakfast, and Tangie’s concept is fruits. Choosing these foods allowed me to create distinct color palettes and adorable elements unique to each plush, setting each Little Leftover apart from one another while still retaining more or less of the same body shape. The bears are 8 inches tall.

Another aspect of Little Leftovers that makes this line of plushies stick out from the rest is the level of interaction. Each bear can be fully separated via buttons on both the back and front of the plushie. Inside of the Little Leftovers are plush guts filled with their favorite snacks.

The guts are removable via velcro strips on both ends of the plush intestines and connect to velcro strips located inside the top half as well as the bottom half of the plushie. This feature not only gives more options for play and posing, but contributes to the collection’s playful narrative.

Packaging

Furthering the food aspect of the collection even more, the packaging for these bears are mini fridges! Each fridge is colored to match the appropriate bear inside and is adorned with a matching Little Leftovers logo on the front and the inside would be plush and lined with fabric. The bears themselves would be 8 inches tall; therefore, the packaging would be an estimated 10 inches tall.

Trading cards

To further intrigue collectors, Little Leftovers will also have additional merchandise alongside the plushies. For example, one of these items is a trading card that features a full illustration of your favorite bear. If you can’t wait to collect all of the plushies, you can have a one-of-a-kind artwork in the meantime! Additionally, these cards have great expandability as there can be seasonal and limited edition trading cards, and the illustrations could also be modified into art posters as well.

Pouches

Looking into other areas of merchandise, I created vinyl pouches featuring each Little Leftovers. Not only are the pouches glittery and endearing, but they are fully functional, too! This brings up the idea of developing other merchandise that can be paired with the pouches, such as stationary, and widens the Little Leftovers audience.
